O.A.R. follows studio work with spring tour
O.A.R. --a.k.a. Of a Revolution--takes to the road in March for an outing that will also feature Pseudopod and Marc Broussard.
The upcoming tour will precede the release of O.A.R.'s fifth album, which is the follow-up to last year's live set, "Any Time Now." According to a message posted on the band's official website, the group resumed work on the album this week.
"We're heading back into the studio on January 8th to work on our next record, and we're psyched to get back out on the road this spring to gear up for the new release," the group wrote.
O.A.R.'s forthcoming album--which the group plans to release this spring or summer, according to a spokesperson--will be its first new studio release since 1999's "Souls Aflame." The group originally released "Souls Aflame" and its 1997 debut, "The Wanderer," independently, but subsequently signed with Everfine Records, which reissued both albums in August of 2000.
The "Listen" section of the band's website features on-demand streams of all three of the group's studio albums.
Pseudopod is supporting its self-titled 2002 major-label debut. Last November, the group cut short its tour behind the album so that frontman Kevin Carlberg could undergo surgery to remove a malignant brain tumor.
Broussard released his debut, "Momentary Setback," last September.
