Diamond Rio assembles busy 2003 itinerary
GRAMMY®-nominated country outfit Diamond Rio will call their tour bus home for much of 2003, playing a mix of theater, fair and festival dates throughout the U.S.
Diamond Rio's eighth album, "Completely," was released last August. It features 13 songs produced by the band's six members with their longtime studio collaborator Mike Clute.
The album netted the hit "Beautiful Mess," which is up for a GRAMMY in this year's Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal category.
"If we are counting correctly, this will make 12 Grammy nods," Diamond Rio bassist Dana Williams said in a statement reacting to the nomination. "I think it's time to bring one home!"
Among the songwriters the group tapped for material on "Completely" were David Ball ("If You'd Like Some Lovin'"), Diane Warren (the title track), and Steve Wariner and Bill Anderson ("Make Sure You've Got it All").
Diamond Rio is scheduled to perform its new single, "I Believe," on CMT's "Most Wanted Live" on Saturday (1/25).
