Lifehouse plots tour, gets soundtrack placement

Lifehouse warms up for its April European tour with a brief March U.S. outing that makes stops throughout the Northeast and Midwest.

The group is hitting the road armed with its hit single "Spin," which is featured on its 2002 album, "Stanley Climbfall," and on the forthcoming "Smallville" soundtrack, which hits stores on Feb. 25. The cut has been riding Billboard's Adult Top 40 Tracks chart for more than 20 weeks.

"Stanley Climbfall," Lifehouse's sophomore effort, is the follow-up to its double-platinum 2000 debut, "No Name Face." The group enlisted Ron Aiello (Days of the New) to produce the new set, and Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam, U2) mixed the final recording.

"It's a very physical record," frontman Jason Wade said of "Stanley Climbfall" in a statement. "It's about moving forward. 'No Name Face' was about accepting the place where you are and trying to figure out how to get beyond that, but not really knowing how. This one is more like, 'I know how to do this, so I'm just continuing to go forward, take the good with the bad and keep moving.'"

Streaming versions of three of the album's tracks--"Spin," "Wash" and the title-track--are posted at the band's official website. The site also features a stream of the "Spin" music video.
