Cold previews new album during short club outing

Cold 's third album doesn't arrive in stores until late April, but fans have a shot at getting an early earful during the group's March club run.

Titled "Year of the Spider," the new album is set for an April 29 release. Its first single is titled "Stupid Girl," according to the band's website.

"Year of the Spider" is the follow-up to 2000's "13 Ways to Bleed Onstage." Since that release, the group recorded a new track titled "Gone Away" that is featured on last May's "WWF Tough Enough 2" soundtrack. The song's music video is streaming at the group's website, while the entire album is streaming at its Interscope website.

Alt-metal quintet Cold was discovered by fellow Jacksonville, Fla., outfit Limp Bizkit . Bizkit frontman Fred Durst produced the band's demo in his home recording studio, and subsequently helped get the group signed to Interscope.

The group released its self-titled debut in 1998.
