Tori Amos keeps 'Scarlet's Walk' on the road
With a brief overseas jaunt now in the books, singer-songwriter Tori Amos has returned to North America to play two more months of North American dates behind her new album, "Scarlet's Walk."
Backing Amos on the tour--which got underway last November--are longtime collaborators Jon Evans on bass and Matt Chamberlain on drums. The outing is booked into theaters and performing arts halls.
Amos left her longtime label Atlantic Records last year, when the company shed a long list of well-known acts from its roster. She quickly signed on with Epic and "Scarlet's Walk" hit stores in late October.
The album is described by Epic as "a sonic novel" featuring a main character named Scarlet, "a woman who crisscrosses the country in search of answers, in search of herself."
Amos self-produced the album, and recorded it in the same Cornwall, England studio where she recorded several of her previous albums.
