The Neville Brothers join forces for live dates

New Orleans R&B stalwarts the Neville Brothers--keyboardist Art, saxophonist Charles, vocalist Aaron and percussionist Cyril--regroup in late February for their first concert dates of 2003.
Though the group hasn't released a new album since 1999's critically acclaimed "Valence Street," the Nevilles have continued to tour extensively in recent years--as a group, as solo artists, and with various side projects.
Aaron Neville released a gospel album titled "Believe" in 2002, with a track-listing that included standards like "Amazing Grace," "Ave Maria" and "Oh Happy Day." The Aaron Neville Quintet featuring Charles Neville is scheduled to play scattered dates from March through May.
The brothers began performing under the Neville Brothers banner in 1977. Art, Aaron and Charles performed together as members of the Hawketts in the late 1950s. Cyril, the youngest of the brothers, began to play with his siblings as a member of the Wild Tchoupitoulas--led by the Nevilles' uncle George "Big Chief Jolly" Landry--in the mid-1970s.
In 1989, the Nevilles won a GRAMMY® in the Best Pop Instrumental Performance category for their track "Healing Chant."
