Annie Lennox preps fans for new album with spring tour

Annie Lennox is set to release her first solo album since 1995's Medusa on June 10, and will advance the album with a series of intimate spring concerts in North America.

The tour, which opens in late March and runs for about a month, will cover Lennox's "incredible repertoire from both her solo career and Eurythmics ," according to a press release.

The new album, the British singer-songwriter's third, is her first for Clive Davis' J Records label. It was recorded in London over the last year with long-time collaborator Steven Lipson, and features 11 new Lennox-penned tracks.

Her previous solo albums, "Medusa" and 1992's "Diva," have sold more than 12 million copies worldwide, according to J Records.

In 1999, Eurythmics' Lennox and Dave Stewart reunited for their first world tour in a decade. The outing raised money for human rights and environmental charities. That year, the duo also released a new album titled "Peace."
