Linkin Park heads up second Projekt Revolution
Rockers Linkin Park have announced plans for their second Projekt Revolution tour, which will also feature Xzibit , Mudvayne and Blindside .
The tour is scheduled to touch down at arenas in 16 cities throughout April, according to Warner Bros. The arena dates are separate from Linkin Park's free, pre-album-release tour for fan-club members, which gets underway on March 11.
After the April Projekt Revolution tour, Linkin Park will join Metallica, Limp Bizkit, the Deftones and Mudvayne for a summer outing dubbed the Summer Sanitarium Tour.
Linkin Park's sophomore album, "Meteora," is scheduled for release on March 25. The album's first single, "Somewhere I Belong," is already garnering heavy airplay on rock radio.
The "Meteora" package will feature a 40-page booklet with exclusive band commentary and photos. The enhanced CD also contains "The Art of Meteora," a 17-minute film about the making of the album, access to exclusive online content, the video to "Somewhere I Belong," and other features.
In addition, a limited edition "Meteora" CD/DVD package will also be issued, featuring "The Making of Meteora," a 34-minute DVD featuring behind-the-scenes footage of the band in the studio, and a collector's slipcase.
"Meteora" is the follow-up to Linkin Park's 2000 debut, Hybrid Theory," which was the top-selling album of 2001; it sold more than 8 million copies that year.
Last year's debut Projekt Revolution tour featured Linkin Park, Cypress Hill, Adema and DJ Z-Trip.
