Foo Fighters' tour plans continue to grow
Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters have strung together more dates for their upcoming spring tour behind last year's "One By One."
The outing kicks off on the West Coast in early April, and dates so far are scheduled through the end of that month, with more to come. Tickets for many dates are on sale now, while pre-sales are underway for others. Details are posted at the band's website.
In addition to its North American tour plans, the group is confirmed to perform at the U.K.'s V Festival on Aug. 16 and 17. That event also features Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers, PJ Harvey and others.
No word on whether Grohl might grace the stage with additional V Festival act Queens of the Stone Age , on whose latest album he played drums. He also served as the group's touring drummer last year.
It took Grohl and his bandmates--Taylor Hawkins (drums), Chris Shiflett (guitar) and Nate Mendel (bass)--only 12 days to record "One By One," which surfaced last October. The album spawned the single "All My Life," which last month won the group a GRAMMY award for Best Hard Rock Performance.
Rock outfit the Special Goodness, a side-project headed up by Weezer's Pat Wilson, will open for the Foo Fighters from April 10 through April 18, according to the Special Goodness' website.
