Alan Jackson maps more 'Drive' tour dates
Country favorite Alan Jackson continues to fill in the blanks of his spring and summer tour schedule.
Jackson returns to the road in early April for his latest round of dates behind last year's "Drive." The singer's itinerary is becoming increasingly packed, with dates now stretching into late August.
Members of Jackson's Platinum Fan Club have access to preferred seating for a number of shows. Details are posted at Jackson's website.
Released in January of 2003, "Drive" has garnered Jackson a number of accolades, including his recent GRAMMY® win in the Best Country Song category for the track "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)."
Other nods include Jackson's nomination in the Flameworthy Video of the Year category at this year's CMT Video Music Awards (for "Drive (for Daddy Gene)"), and his six nominations in this year's Academy of Country Music awards.
CMT will air its Video Music Awards live on April 7, while CBS will broadcast the Academy of Country Music awards live on May 21.
"Drive" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart following its release last January, and held that spot for four weeks. The set was the No. 8 top-selling album of 2002 thanks to a year-end total of about 3 million copies.
"That'd Be Alright," the latest single from "Drive," is sitting in the Top 10 on Billboard's latest Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.
Jackson, a Georgia native, has become one of country music's most bankable acts over the years, and has sold more than 36 million albums since his 1989 debut, "Here in the Real World," according to Arista Nashville.
