Tom Jones keeps up busy concert schedule

Veteran crooner Tom Jones , who has released two new albums in the past few months, is spending much of his year on the stage.

Jones has tour dates scattered all the way into November. His itinerary includes a four-night stand in Atlantic City, as well as a pair of two-week runs at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Last December, the 62-year-old singer released a new studio effort, appropriately titled "Mr. Jones." The set includes his latest single, which is a cover of Leadbelly's rock staple "Black Betty." Wyclef Jean and Jerry Duplessis produced the new version for Jones.

The "Black Betty" music video is streaming at Jones' official website, as is documentary footage that shows the making of the clip.

A new compilation titled "Tom Jones Greatest Hits" reached stores in February. Detailed information about the set is available at a special website dedicated to the album.

Earlier this year, Jones--a British native--was honored with a Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. His recording career dates back almost 40 years, and got off to a fast start with the mid-'60s hits "Little Lonely One," "Once Upon a Time," "What's New Pussycat" and others.

In the mid '80s, Jones enjoyed a commercial resurgence for his cover of the Prince single "Kiss."
