Staind celebrates new release with free concerts
Staind will introduce fans to material from its forthcoming album, "14 Shades of Grey," at four free club shows set to take place in May.
The free shows will happen in Boston, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. See the itinerary below for dates and venues.
According to the band's publicist, Staind will be making a same-day, in-store appearance in each city where they perform. A number of tickets for the evening shows will be given away to fans who pre-purchase the CD at the in-stores, while additional tickets will be available through giveaways via the band's website, local radio stations and retail outlets.
A major tour in support of the new album will get underway this summer, but details haven't been confirmed.
"14 Shades of Grey" is scheduled for release on May 20. The first run of the CD will include a limited edition, bonus DVD that features footage of the band from its early years to the present, along with album lyrics and new band photos.
The album's first single is titled "Price to Play," and was just shipped to radio stations.
Staind broke through with its 2001 album "Break the Cycle," which is certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
