Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members the Allman Brothers Band, who recently released their first new studio album in nine years, are set to spend the summer on the North American amphitheater circuit.

Dates so far are scheduled to run from mid June through September, and include a mix of festival dates, amphitheater shows and theater appearances.

In March, the Allmans released "Hittin' the Note," which includes 11 new tracks. The band's lineup now features Gregg Allman (vocals, keyboards), Butch Trucks (percussion), Derek Trucks (guitar), Marc Quinones (percussion), Oteil Burbridge (bass), Jaimoe (percussion) and Warren Haynes (guitar).

"There's a lot of power in this lineup," Allman said in a statement. "The more we played, the more we realized how good we were sounding, so we figured we'd start writing some new songs and cutting them. We wound up surprising ourselves with how much great stuff we came up with. Hell, we've got enough left over to cut another record right now."

Dickey Betts, the band's founding guitarist, hasn't toured with the Allmans since a falling-out with the group in 2000.

The Allmans recently completed their now-annual residency at New York's Beacon Theatre, playing 13 shows in just over two weeks. According to the group's official website, the band's March 25 and 26 concerts were filmed and recorded for a planned DVD and live CD.
