Michelle Branch hits the clubs before linking with Dixie Chicks
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Michelle Branch warms up for her upcoming stint in support of the Dixie Chicks with a quick club tour.
Branch will also fit a few radio-festival dates into her schedule before she links with the Dixie Chicks in mid June.
Though she's only 19 years old, Branch has already scored a Top 5 single ("Everywhere") and earned her first GRAMMY® (for Santana's "The Game of Love," on which she sings). Her debut album, 2001's "The Spirit Room," is certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for shipping more than a million copies in the U.S.
Branch's as-yet-untitled sophomore effort is tentatively scheduled for release on June 10. That date may be in jeopardy, however, because there have been reports of a contractual dispute between Branch and her label, Maverick Records.
