Sepultura [ tickets ] and Voivod [ tickets ]--two metal quartets that formed almost 20 years ago--join forces for a U.S. club tour that kicks off on Friday night (4/18).

Voivod is supporting its 13th album, a self-titled set that surfaced in early March. The album is the group's first to feature former Metallica [ tickets ] bassist Jason Newsted.

Voivod's official website features the music video for the new album's first single, "We Carry On." The site also houses video footage of the band rehearsing for the tour.

Brazil-based Sepultura will be previewing material from its forthcoming album "Roorback," which is due out in June. The album's complete tracklisting and a free MP3 download of the single "Mind War" are available at the band's website.

Following the Voivod-Sepultura outing, Newsted will keep doubly busy; the bassist, who was recently tapped to join Ozzy Osbourne [ tickets ]'s band, will play bass for both Voivod and Osbourne during Osbourne's upcoming Canadian run. He'll also pull double duty during this summer's Ozzfest outing, for which Voivod is part of the second-stage roster.
