Beck's U.S. tour plans grow
Quirky alt-rocker Beck has fleshed out more dates for his upcoming U.S. tour, which backs last year's "Sea Change."
The run kicks off in Boston on May 24, and dates now stretch into late June. Dashboard Confessional and the Black Keys will open select dates, according to Beck's official website.
Tickets for a number of shows are already on sale, while ducats for several others will hit the box office on Friday (4/25) and Saturday (4/26). Beck's website is holding online ticket pre-sales for most dates. Details are posted at the site.
Beck's U.S. outing follows the singer-songwriter's current European headlining tour, and precedes his summer run on the European festival circuit.
"Sea Change" was ranked as 2002's No. 2 album by the 695 critics polled for the Village Voice's annual Pazz & Jop survey. Beck's website is streaming the album in its entirety.
Dashboard Confessional plans to release a new album titled "A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar" in July. The Black Keys' debut, "Thickfreakness," surfaced in early April.
