Blues Traveler readies new album, reveals summer concert plans
Blues Traveler takes to the road in late May for a series of headlining dates and summer-festival performances that run through the end of August.
The group's itinerary includes its annual Independence Day stop at the Denver area's Red Rocks Amphitheatre, which this year will feature performances on both July 3 and 4. Leftover Salmon will open on July 3, and Howie Day will open on July 4, according to the venue's website.
Earlier this year, Blues Traveler entered the studio with producer Don Gehman to begin work on a new album. The set, tentatively titled "Truth Be Told," is expected to surface some time in July, but the group hasn't announced a specific release date.
The band's most-recent release is last October's "What You and I Have Been Through," a live set that features the band's version of "The Star-Spangled Banner." A free mp3 version of the track is available at the group's website.
