Counting Crows Are Back On Stage After Battling Illness

Counting Crows , who have pulled out of six shows since late November due to illness, have rescheduled the shows for January and February. The band will be back in action tonight (12/20) in Los Angeles.

Adam Duritz, the band's frontman, has been battling flu-like symptoms since late last month, when performances in Minneapolis, St. Louis and Chicago were postponed.

According to the band's official website, the Minneapolis show has been rescheduled for Jan. 18, the St. Louis show will be made up on Jan. 21 and the Chicago appearance will take place on Jan. 23.

Though Counting Crows performed some concerts in early December, illness struck again prior to a Dec. 13 appearance in San Francisco, resulting in the postponement of that performance as well as two concerts in Seattle and one in Portland.

The make-up date in San Francisco has been set for Jan. 29, the band's Portland stop is now scheduled for Jan. 31, and its two-night stand at Seattle's Moore Theatre will be Feb. 2-3.

The Counting Crows' last scheduled performance of 1999 is Tuesday (12/21) at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles

The band opened its tour behind the recently released album "This Desert Life" in late October. In addition to the rescheduled shows, the band has also scheduled January concerts in Houston, Dallas and Austin, Texas.
