Counting Crows Mark New Album Release With Theatre Tour
Counting Crows , who are on the verge of releasing their third studio album, are readying to support the effort with a two-month tour of the North American theatre circuit. The band's roadshow is scheduled to open Oct. 26 in Atlanta.
Adam Duritz and band are also part of the NetAid lineup for the show at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Joining them on the bill will be Jewel, Mary J. Blige, Busta Rhymes, Counting Crows, Wyclef Jean with Bono, Jimmy Page & friends, Puff Daddy, Sting with Cheb Mami, The Black Crowes, and Zucchero
According to the band's official website, a Nov. 2 release date has been set for ''This Desert Life,'' which was co-produced Cracker leader David Lowery and Dennis Herring.
The album will feature 10 tracks, two of which have already appeared in films, according to SonicNet. The video for the album's first single, ''Hanginaround,'' is set for an Oct. 4 debut on MTV and VH1.
