Creed Opens Trek With Sevendust In March
Creed and Sevendust will join forces for a three-week tour this spring. Slated to begin March 22 at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, the current itinerary calls for shows exclusively in the Midwest and on the East Coast.
Both bands have been touring independently in support of their respective second albums. Creed's sophomore effort, ''Human Clay,'' was recently certified triple-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for shattering the three-million-sold mark. The band also landed a pair of songs on the modern metal-dominated ''Scream 3'' soundtrack.
Atlanta's Sevendust also placed a song on the ''Scream 3'' soundtrack and toured as part of last fall's Family Values along with headliner Limp Bizkit, Method Man, Redman, Primus and Staind. Sevendust is supporting the album ''Home,'' which was released last August.
Biloxi, Mississippi-based 3 Doors Down will slide into the opening slot for a series of dates as well. 3 Doors Down released their debut LP ''The Better Life'' earlier this month, with the single ''Kryptonite,'' soaring early and entering this week's Billboard Heatseekers Charts in the top spot.
