Rocker Alice Cooper [ tickets ] is skipping his trademark elaborate stage shows for a "Bare Bones Tour" slated to run July 12-Aug. 10.

The jaunt kicks off in Walker, Minn., and will visit many venues that cannot accommodate his typical stage set-ups and props--which include guillotines, "headless babies" and "spraying blood," his spokeswoman said.

The itinerary includes a mix of fairs, amphitheatres and clubs such as the House of Blues in West Hollywood, where he performs for two nights.

Cooper's set lists will feature many of his hits, and might include songs from his as-yet-untitled new album, which due for release on Spitfire Records this fall.

His band includes longtime guitarists Eric Dover and Ryan Roxie as well as drummer Eric Singer and bassist Chuck Garric. For the first time in many years, Cooper will not have a keyboardist on the tour, his spokeswoman added.
