Chris Isaak keeps summer outing alive with more dates

Singer-songwriter Chris Isaak continues to work the crowds well into September as he backs last year's "Always Got Tonight."

Isaak, who is taking a short break after finishing a round of June dates, has filled in the blanks in his July and August schedule, and has begun penciling in a string September shows.

Lisa Marie Presley will open all of Isaak's July performances, and a handful of his August shows, as well. The royal offspring of Elvis Presley is supporting her debut album, "To Whom It May Concern."

"Always Got Tonight," Isaak's eighth album, surfaced in February of 2002. The album's single "One Day" is streaming at Reprise Records' Chris Isaak website, as is the music video for the cut "Let Me Down Easy."

In early June, Isaak wrapped up production on the third season of his eponymous Showtime series, "The Chris Isaak Show." The first of the season's 13 new episodes is scheduled to premiere during the fourth quarter of this year, according to Showtime.

"The Chis Isaak Show," which Showtime bills as "part comedy and part reality," features Isaak and his real-life band members--Kenney Dale Johnson (drums), Hershel Yatovitz (guitar) and Rowland Salley (bass)--and an ensemble of fictional characters.

Musicians Gloria Estefan, Michelle Branch, Bret Michaels and Blake Shelton, as well as Oakland Athletics pitcher Barry Zito, will guest star in some of the third season's episodes.
