Dave Matthews Band To Release Live Double-CD
Dave Matthews Band is set to release on Nov. 23 a live double-CD featuring tracks from a concert recorded for a PBS special. The album, entitled "Listener Support It," was recorded Sept. 11 at Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, N.J.
The band also announced that a VHS long-form video of the same show is due out later this year. Portions of the concert aired last month on a PBS ''In The Spotlight'' special. Four digitized tracks from that show are being sold exclusively via Internet download in the Liquid Audio format. Proceeds from those sales will go to charity.
Each of the four songs -- ''#36,'' ''#41,'' ''True Reflections,'' and ''The Stone'' -- are priced at $3.49, and are bundled together as two separate ''buy one, get one free'' download offers at the Liquid Audio website.
