Jam-band moe. has booked itself a one-week stay on a cruise line and is inviting its fans to tour the Caribbean with them.

At prices starting in the $700 range, the week's traveling party could prove more economical than following the band for a week on land, for the growing segment of their audience that is pre-disposed to considering a road trip.

According to moe.'s official website, the cruise will depart from Miami on March 7, and moe. fans will receive from their authorized tour agency special identification that will admit them into moe. events on the cruise, including performances during the week. The cruise route includes Jamaica, the Grand Cayman Islands, Costa Maya and Cozumel.

More immediately, moe. has filled in its land-bound itinerary for the remainder the year and put a pair of shows on sale for the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago for Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. The Halloween show is billed as "The Headbangers' Left Ball: An Evening of Heavy moe.tal."

Moe. [ tickets ] was scheduled to open Saturday's (8/2) Chicago-area show for The Dead and Bob Dylan, but their set was canceled after a mighty wind tore out the back of the stage. While the show eventually went on, its opening time was delayed, which forced organizers to cut moe.'s performance.
