Poison singer sets up club outing behind second album
Poison frontman Bret Michaels backs his sophomore solo album with a lengthy fall tour that touches down at clubs throughout the U.S.
The hair-metal poster boy's run kicks off in late September, and the tightly packed itinerary stretches into mid-November. Altogether, Michaels is scheduled to make stops in more than 40 cities.
The road trip supports "Songs of Life," which Michaels released in April. The enhanced CD features the music video for the first single, "Raine," a track that Michaels wrote for, and named after, his daughter.
In addition to its 12 original tracks, "Songs of Life" also includes the cut "Party Rock Band," which first appeared on Michaels' 1998 solo debut, "A Letter from Death Row." That album was the soundtrack to the film of the same name, in which Michaels starred.
Fans who wish to shower Michaels with gifts during his visit to their town should take note of this information posted at his website: "To those who are attending upcoming concerts, we have this very important request from the tour ... While we love the gifts you bring for us all, we do not have room for them on our bus." The message includes an address for the Bret Michaels International Fan Club headquarters, to which fans can instead mail their gifts.
Before setting out on his own, Michaels and his Poison bandmates will finish up their current headlining run--which also features Skid Row and Vince Neil--in mid-September.
