Briefly: Michael Jackson, Rolling Stone's top guitarists, Bobby Brown, Kenny Chesney
Michael Jackson will open his Neverland Ranch in Southern California for a Sept. 13 charity event.
Invitees and ticket-holders "will enjoy a day-long extravaganza in royal style, including red carpet access to Neverland's amusement park, zoo, immaculately groomed gardens and more," according to a press release.
About 500 guests will attend the event, and half of the tickets reportedly will be sold to the general public at $5,000 each. Exactly how and when those tickets will be sold wasn't immediately known.
The event will benefit charities Make-A-Wish Foundation, Oneness and E Ai Como E Que Fica.
Rolling Stone magazine says the best guitarists of all time--in order--are Jimi Hendrix , Duane Allman , B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Robert Johnson and Chuck Berry. The magazine's list of the 100 greatest guitar players appears in its upcoming issue, which hits newsstands on Friday (8/29).
Bobby Brown , who was arrested on a probation violation at a suburban Atlanta restaurant while dining with his wife, Whitney Houston, on Friday (8/22), reportedly will remain jailed at least until a Wednesday (8/28) court appearance.
According to the Associated Press, Brown was arrested because he "apparently didn't show up for court-ordered community service, drug treatment or a random drug test."
From a press release issued on Tuesday (8/26) by Hooters of America:
"Hooters Air announced today it will be carrying Kenny Chesney , along with his band, family and friends on a vacation trip to the Caribbean. Hooters Air will bring its specially configured aircraft with 132 dark blue leather seats, extra leg room, and staff of two pilots, 3 flight attendants and 2 Hooters Girls."
