A Perfect Circle [ tickets ], whose sophomore album arrives in stores today (9/16), backs the set with a fall U.S. tour.

The outing kicks off in San Antonio on Halloween, and dates are confirmed through mid-November. More shows will be added, according to Virgin Records.

Titled "Thirteenth Step," A Perfect Circle's second album is its first set with new bassist Jeordie White, a.k.a. ex- Marilyn Manson [ tickets ] member Twiggy Ramirez. White was recruited to replace original bassist Paz Lechantin, who left the group to join Billy Corgan's post-Smashing Pumpkins outfit Zwan [ tickets ]. Coincidentally, A Perfect Circle's newest member, guitarist James Iha, hails from Smashing Pumpkins.

Iha, who did not play on "Thirteenth Step," cut his teeth with the band during a two-week club tour that the group mounted earlier this summer.

Rounding out the lineup are original members Maynard James Keenan (vocals), Billy Howerdel (guitar) and Josh Freese (drums).

"Thirteenth Step," which features the hit single "Weak & Powerless," is the follow up to A Perfect Circle's platinum-certified 2000 debut, "Mer de Noms." The group's website is streaming the "Weak & Powerless" video, along with videos for the "Mer de Noms" hits "Judith" and "3 Libras."
