Tickets for Celine Dion 's January performances at The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas are scheduled to go on sale on Wednesday (10/1) at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, according to promoter Concerts West.
Dion's show, dubbed "A New Day ...," is performed Wednesdays through Sundays.
The upcoming Barenaked Ladies tour will combine "music, freewheeling conversation and an audience Q&A in a unique concept dubbed Peep Show," according to a press release.
The shows will feature the band performing and discussing tracks from its forthcoming album, "Everything to Everyone," and taking questions from the audience. The group will also play a short set of favorites from throughout its nearly 15-year career.
Ricky Martin , Marc Anthony and Donna Summer are among the acts who will perform at WKTU radio's "An Intimate Evening with KTU," a concert set for Oct. 28 at New York's Theatre at Madison Square Garden.
Tickets for the show, which will include a tribute to disco mainstay Summer, will hit the market on Thursday (10/2), according to a press release.
Styx and bassist Glen Burtnik have amicably parted ways, according to a posting on the band's website. Burtnik has been replaced in the band by Ricky Phillips, who played in Bad English and The Babys.
"We're sad to see Glen leave," guitarist/vocalist James Young said in a statement. "We wish him well, and I'm looking forward to introducing to the world only the 10th person to ever be a part of Styx, bass player extraordinaire Ricky Phillips."
Said Burtnik in departing: "I've enjoyed performing onstage with this talented group of musicians. I greatly value the friendship and warmth shown to me by the band, the crew, the staff and the fans. It's time for me to get back to spending more quality time with my family."
Heavy-metal survivors W.A.S.P. are planning to release a two-part conceptual album in 2004, according to a press release. "Although the concept of the story is extremely complex and detailed, the poignant plotline expresses notions of lost innocence and the black undercurrent of mass media," said a press release.
The first album is expected to hit stores in mid-February, and the second installment is tentatively set for release in early May.
