Armed with a new album that's planted near the top of the charts, alt-rock outfit A Perfect Circle [ tickets ] extends its upcoming road trip.

The outing, which kicks off in San Antonio on Halloween, now runs through the end of November, and more shows are expected.

A Perfect Circle's sophomore set, "Thirteenth Step," arrived in stores on Sept. 16, and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Helping to fuel sales is the group's latest hit, "Weak & Powerless," the video for which is streaming at the band's website.

"Thirteenth Step" is A Perfect Circle's first album with new bassist Jeordie White, a.k.a. ex-Marilyn Manson member Twiggy Ramirez. White was recruited to replace original bassist Paz Lechantin, who left the group to join Billy Corgan's post-Smashing Pumpkins outfit Zwan. Coincidentally, A Perfect Circle's newest member, guitarist James Iha, hails from Smashing Pumpkins.

Iha, who did not play on "Thirteenth Step," cut his teeth with the band during a two-week club tour that the group mounted earlier this year.

Rounding out the lineup are original members Maynard James Keenan (vocals), Billy Howerdel (guitar) and Josh Freese (drums).

The group's website features a four-part radio interview with Howerdel, Freese and White, during which the trio discusses the group's history, as well as the making of "Thirteenth Step."

"Thirteenth Step" is the follow up to A Perfect Circle's platinum-certified 2000 debut, "Mer de Noms."
