Bruce Cockburn sets up new round of North American shows
Singer-songwriter Bruce Cockburn , who last month wrapped up the first leg of a North American outing that supports his latest album, takes another pass through the continent this fall.
The Canadian performer will be backed by bandmates Ben Riley (drums) and Steve Lucas (bass), along with new keyboardist Julie Wolf, who is best known for her work with Ani DiFranco.
Cockburn is on the road behind his recently released 27th album, "You've Never Seen Everything," which surfaced in June. The set features guest appearances by Emmylou Harris, Jackson Browne, Sarah Harmer and Sam Phillips.
"You've Never Seen Everything" is Cockburn's first album of new material since 1999's "Breakfast in New Orleans, Dinner in Timbuktu," which won a Juno Award, Canada's equivalent to a GRAMMY®.
In November, True North Records releases a deluxe-edition reissue of Cockburn's 1984 album "Stealing Fire." The updated set is digitally remastered, and includes previously unreleased bonus tracks, original vinyl-album artwork, new liner notes written by Canadian journalist Nick Jennings and additional "bonus photos," according to a press release.
Best known for his songs "The Trouble with Normal," "Lovers in a Dangerous Time" (which was covered by fellow Canadians Barenaked Ladies) and "If I Had a Rocket Launcher," Cockburn was inducted into the Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame last year.
