Briefly: Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Tears for Fears, Bob Seger, Cyndi Lauper

Bob Dylan made a surprise appearance on Saturday (10/4) at the final show of Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band's world tour, performing "Highway 61 Revisited" while backed by the New Jersey rockers.

The tour, which opened more than a year ago in East Rutherford, N.J., concluded with a three shows at New York's Shea Stadium.

After a 13-year respite, Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith have reunited to record a new album, according to Arista Records, which has signed the duo. A new disc is expected to hit stores in the spring of 2004.

Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band's "Greatest Hits 2," an album featuring 14 digitally remastered songs, is set for release on Nov. 4, according to Capitol Records. It includes three songs previously unavailable on albums, as well as music videos for "Night Moves" and "Turn the Page."

Cyndi Lauper returns on Nov. 18 with a new, Russ Titelman-produced album of standards titled "At Last."

Lauper duets with Tony Bennett on "Makin' Whoopie," and Stevie Wonder plays harmonica on "Until You Come Back To Me."

The track listing is: "At Last," "Walk On By," "Stay," "La Vie Un Rose," "Unchained Melody," "'Til You Come Back To Me," "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood," "You Really Got A Hold On Me," "My Baby Just Cares For Me," "If You Go Away," "Makin' Whoopee," "Hymn to Love," "Sunny Side of the Street."
