Seal reveals more dates for upcoming U.S. tour

Seal , who's gearing up for a series of intimate club shows that mark his first tour in five years, has added dates in five major cities.

The multi-platinum pop-vocalist's itinerary now includes stops in Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Boston and Philadelphia. Details are shown below.

The new dates are tucked into a batch of previously announced shows that begin on the West Coast in mid-November, and are scattered through mid-December. More shows will be added, according to Warner Bros.

On Wednesday (10/15), Seal is scheduled to perform in New York City as part of a multi-act concert dubbed "One Night with Lite." Organized by radio station 106.7 LiteFM, the event will also feature Rod Stewart, Simply Red and Sarah McLachlan.

Seal also turns up on Thursday's (10/16) episode of ABC-TV's "The View," and performs at Saturday's (10/18) taping of BET's "9th Annual Walk of Fame" show, which this year honors singer Aretha Franklin. The event airs on Oct. 28.

Seal's upcoming tour is his first since his outing behind 1998's "Human Being." That album, which is gold-certified, was considered a commercial disappointment in light of its two multi-million-selling predecessors.

"Seal IV," which landed in stores last month, debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 album chart, and currently sits at No. 20. The album features Seal's latest single, "Waiting for You." Last week, Seal released a maxi-single that houses five club mixes of the song.
