A Perfect Circle rounds up more tour dates for fall outing

A Perfect Circle has again expanded the itinerary for its upcoming run behind its recently released second album.

The group, which kicks off its outing in San Antonio on Halloween, now plans to stay on the road until at least mid-December. Tickets for many of the shows are on sale now.

"Thirteenth Step," A Perfect Circle's sophomore set, surfaced last month and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Now in its third week on the chart, the album sits at No. 18.

Also turning up on the charts is the album's first single, "Weak & Powerless," which clocks in at No. 2 on Billboard's latest Modern Rock Tracks chart. The song's companion video is streaming at the band's website.

Smashing Pumpkins fans will recognize A Perfect Circle's newest member, former Pumpkins guitarist James Iha. The group recruited Iha after completing work on "Thirteenth Step," and broke him in during a club tour that took place earlier this year.

The band's other new addition, bassist Jeordie White--formerly known as Twiggy Ramirez of Marilyn Manson--signed on in time to record "Thirteenth Step" with the group.

Rounding out the lineup are original members Maynard James Keenan (vocals)--also known for fronting prog-rock outfit Tool--Billy Howerdel (guitar) and Josh Freese (drums).

The group's website features a four-part radio interview with Howerdel, Freese and White, during which the trio discusses the group's history, as well as the making of "Thirteenth Step."

"Thirteenth Step" is the follow up to A Perfect Circle's platinum-certified 2000 debut, "Mer de Noms."
