Briefly: Sarah McLachlan, Avril Lavigne, Default, American Music Awards, KCRW concert
A concert featuring Canadian singer-songwriters Sarah McLachlan and Avril Lavigne will air on the Oxygen cable network on Nov. 9.
Fans can have a say in the set list for each artist by filling out a form posted at the Oxygen network's website.
Default releases a new album titled "Elocation" on Nov. 25. The set's first single, "Taking My Life Away," has been sent to radio, and is streaming at the band's official website.
The "Elocation" track listing is: "Who Followed Who?," "Taking My Life Away," "Movin' On," "Throw It All Away," "Cruel," "Made to Lie," "Crossing the Line," "Without You," "Break Down Doors," "Enough," "All She Wrote" and "Alone."
The list of performers scheduled to appear at this year's American Music Awards keeps growing. Currently slated are 3 Doors Down, Clay Aiken & Ruben Studdard, Ashanti, Sheryl Crow, Hilary Duff, Evanescence, Alan Jackson, Kid Rock, Ricky Martin, Metallica, OutKast, Sean Paul, Pink, Britney Spears and Rod Stewart.
The AMA ceremony takes place on Nov. 16, and will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
Beck , Damien Rice, Jurassic 5, The Polyphonic Spree, Jem, Gary Jules, Cut Chemist, Felix Da Housecat and surprise special guests are set to appear at A Sounds Eclectic Evening, a fundraiser for Los Angeles-area public radio station KCRW.
The concert takes place on Nov. 22 at Universal Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA.
