Shania Twain pumps 'Up!' tour schedule
Shania Twain 's in-progress North American tour now includes a stretch of November shows.
The singer, who is scheduled to wrap up her latest round of concerts next week, returns to the road on Nov. 21 for a series of late-November performances in Houston, San Antonio and Dallas, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; Memphis, TN; and St. Louis and Kansas City, MO.
The November dates lead into a batch of early-December shows that conclude with a two-night stand in British Columbia on Dec. 7 and 8.
On Monday (10/27), Twain's official fan club plans to launch a four-episode streaming-video program that begins with a behind-the-scenes look at Twain's recent concert in Washington, DC. The programs will be available only to members of the fan club, according to Twain's website.
Fans can also catch a Twain performance during the 37th Annual CMA Awards, which airs on CBS on Nov. 5.
Last month, Twain received nominations in the American Music Award's country-music categories for Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Album ("Up!), as well as in the Michael Jackson International Artist of the Year category. The ceremony will air on ABC on Nov. 16.
Twain continues to back her 2002 release, "Up!," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album chart in November and has sold more than 9 million copies worldwide to date, according to Mercury. Her previous release, 1997's "Come On Over," sold more than 34 million copies worldwide, and ranks as one of the top-selling female solo albums in history.
"Come On Over" led to much debate over whether Twain was too pop to be country, but Twain was unabashedly both on "Up!" The two-CD set includes country (the green disc) and pop (the red one) mixes of each of its 19 tracks, all of which were produced by her husband, Robert John 'Mutt' Lange.
