Big Head Todd & the Monsters assemble tour, new album on the way
The trio is currently wrapping up its work, and plans to release the new album--titled "Crimes of Passion"--on Feb. 10, according to Big Head Todd's official website. Half of the set was recorded at a Boulder, CO, studio, and the rest of the tracks were laid down at singer-guitarist Todd Park Mohr's home studio in Colorado's Yampa Valley.
"Crimes of Passion" is the follow up to 2002's "Riviera," which marked the group's first new studio set in five years.
Big Head Todd is scheduled to play two more concerts this year--on Halloween in Lake Tahoe, NV, and on New Year's Eve in Denver--and will begin its club tour behind the new album in February.
Tickets for the Halloween show are on sale now, and tickets to the New Year's Eve show hit the market on Saturday (10/24), according to promoters. On-sale information for the 2004 dates wasn't available at press time.
