Ryan Adams takes 'Rock N Roll' to North American clubs
Singer-songwriter Ryan Adams , who's currently in Europe backing his new album, "Rock N Roll," opens a short series of North American club dates in December.
The seven-city club tour will be followed by a more-extensive outing in 2004, according to Lost Highway Records.
"Rock N Roll" is being billed as the "official" follow-up to Adams' critically acclaimed 2001 album, "Gold." In 2002, he issued "Demolition," a collection of 13 previously unreleased demos.
"Rock N Roll"--the former Whiskeytown member's fourth solo album--was recorded in two weeks, and features appearances by Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong and former Hole member Melissa Auf Der Mauer. Despite help from those well-known guests, Adams played most of the instruments on the album himself, with Johnny T. handling drums.
Another Ryan album, titled "Love is Hell," was initially slated as the follow-up to "Gold," but it will instead be released on Dec. 9 as a two EPs.
