Fuel [ tickets ]'s ongoing tour behind its recently released album, "Natural Selection," now stretches well into December.

Released on Sept. 23, "Natural Selection" features a dozen new tracks, including the group's latest single, "Falls On Me." Fuel guitarist and chief-songwriter Carl Bell co-produced the album with Michael Beinhorn (Ozzy Ozbourne, Korn, Soundgarden).

"I was totally consumed with this album," Bell said in a press release. "I wouldn't leave the house for days at a time. I was a total mad scientist. I'd wake up, roll out of bed and over to my Pro Tools rig, work all day and night until exhaustion, roll back in to bed and then get up the next day to start all over again. It was insane."

"I stopped by a few times, and Carl looked like hell," bassist Jeff Abercrombie added. "Unshaven, same clothes, he was crazy! I made him leave the house once to go to a bar, but he went home after a couple of hours because he couldn't stop thinking about the music. He was obsessed."

"Natural Selection" is the follow-up to Fuel's multi-platinum sophomore effort, 2000's "Something Like Human," and 1998's "Sunburn." Epic Records, on the same day that it released "Natural Selection," also issued expanded editions of "Something Like Human" and "Sunburn," both of which feature bonus tracks not found on the original versions.
