Linkin Park firms up plans for January dates with P.O.D., others
Rock-radio staple-act Linkin Park has confirmed dates and venues for its first round of 2004 tour dates, which will also feature fellow rockers P.O.D., Hoobastank and Story of the Year .
The outing kicks off in the Washington, DC, area on Jan. 17, and will have visited a dozen cities by the end of the month. Linkin Park's fan-club members will get the first chance at tickets via a pre-sale that gets underway this week; details are available at the band's official website. Tickets start rolling out to the general market this weekend, according to promoters.
The tour is expected to remain on the road for three months, according to Warner Bros. Records. Dates and venues are still pending for 15 other cities; details appear in the itinerary below.
Linkin Park's 2004 tour backs its latest studio album, "Meteora," which surfaced in March, as well as the group's recently released live CD/DVD, "Live in Texas."
P.O.D. released its latest set, "Payable on Death," in early November. Hoobastank's sophomore effort, "The Reason," is due out on Dec. 9. Story of the Year released its inaugural album, "Page Avenue," on Sept. 16.
