Barenaked Ladies extend tour into the New Year
Barenaked Ladies , who've been on the road since the late-October release of their latest album, plan to keep the tour bus rolling in 2004.
The Canadian pop-rock outfit has begun framing a full-scale arena tour that is currently due to kick off in early February. The arena run follows the group's current small-venue outing, which features music, band banter and Q&A sessions with audiences.
In addition to headlining performances, the group's December schedule also includes appearances at several holiday-themed radio-station festivals.
The roadwork supports "Everything to Everyone," which is Barenaked Ladies' first album since 2000's "Maroon." The new set features the single "Another Postcard."
On Dec. 15, Barenaked Ladies will appear on ABC's "Monday Night Football" to perform with football player and part-time musician Doug Flutie. Flutie and the band will square off against singer-songwriter Michelle Branch and NFL-player Bryan Scott during the final round of the program's battle-of-the-bands. Last Monday, BNL and Flutie beat out Jason Mraz and Joey Harrington.
Voting takes place online. Details are posted at BNL's website.
