Jackson Browne sets solo-acoustic dates as Rock Hall induction approaches

With the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame beckoning, singer-songwriter Jackson Browne has lined up a solo-acoustic tour of the western U.S. for early next year.

The outing gets under way at Lake Tahoe--on the California/Nevada border--on Feb. 27, and wraps up a month later in Santa Barbara, CA. He'll visit a dozen cities along the way.

In the midst of the tour, Browne makes a March 15 stop at New York's Waldorf Astoria Hotel, where he'll be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Other 2004 inductees will include Prince, the late George Harrison, Bob Seger, ZZ Top, Traffic and The Dells.

Browne's roadwork supports last year's "The Naked Ride Home," the 13th album of his 30-year career. The set is his first new studio effort since 1996's "Looking East," one of only two new albums that he released in the '90s.

Backing Browne on "The Naked Ride Home" are Mark Goldenberg (guitar), Mauricio Lewak (drums), Jeff Young (keys, vocals) and Kevin McCormick (bass), with whom Browne co-produced the album.
