Melissa Etheridge hits the clubs to launch new album
Melissa Etheridge marks the February release of her new album, "Lucky," with a half-dozen multi-night stands at U.S. clubs.
The singer-songwriter kicks off the outing with a four-night run at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA, beginning on Feb. 17; additional multi-night runs are set for San Francisco, Anaheim, Denver, Chicago and Washington, DC.
Members of Etheridge's official fan club have an opportunity to purchase preferred tickets, which will allow ticketholders to enter the venue via a separate--and presumably, shorter--line (all shows are general admission).
The club is also offering a special ticket package dubbed Super ME; priced at $240 per person, the Super ME tickets include priority entry, pre-show reception, access to the VIP section during the show, a specially designed event poster and a Super ME laminated pass. More information is posted at Etheridge's website.
In addition to the upcoming road trip, Etheridge's plans also include a four-song acoustic performance that will appear exclusively on VH1.com. An air date is still to be determined, according to Etheridge's website.
Due in stores on Feb. 10, "Lucky" is the follow-up to Etheridge's 2002 release, "Skin." The new set features lead-off single "Breathe," which members of Etheridge's fan club can listen to at her website.
