Puddle of Mudd ready to rock crowds in early 2004
Armed with material from its recently released sophomore album, Puddle of Mudd boards the bus for a winter tour of U.S. clubs.
Only about a dozen dates have surfaced so far, beginning with a Feb. 2 performance in Atlanta; subsequent shows stretch into early March.
Tickets for most of the shows in this initial batch are due to hit the box office on Saturday (12/20), according to promoters.
Puddle of Mudd released its second album, "Life on Display," late last month. The group recorded the set in Los Angeles, and co-produced the album with John Kurzweg and Michael "Elvis" Baskette, according to Flawless Records.
"Away From Me," the album's first single, sits at No. 6 on Billboard's latest Modern Rock Singles chart. The song's music video is streaming at Flawless Records' website.
"Life on Display" is the follow-up to Puddle of Mudd's multi-platinum debut, 2001's "Come Clean." That album spawned the rock-radio singles "Blurry," "She Hates Me," "Control" and "Drift and Die."
