Country star Brad Paisley plans ahead for a busy 2004

Though the calendar only recently turned to January, country artist Brad Paisley [ tickets ] has already lined up a busy concert schedule that stretches 10 months into the New Year.

The 31-year-old singer, songwriter and guitarist continues to support his third album, "Mud on the Tires," which debuted atop Billboard's country album chart in July. The set features the hit "Celebrity," the music video for which spoofed reality TV shows, and the follow-up smash "Little Moments."

Paisley burst onto the country-music scene with his 1999 debut, "Who Needs Pictures." The album spawned the hit singles "Me Neither," "He Didn't Have to Be," "We Danced" and the title track, and garnered the singer a slew of awards. His sophomore effort, "Part II," surfaced in 2001.

Paisley played teen idol Ricky Nelson in Sunday's (1/4) episode of NBC's 1960s-era series "American Dreams," performing a rendition of "Dream Lover," a song that was a hit for Nelson and Bobby Darin.

According to Paisley's official website, Paisley recently penned a song that "Star Trek" star William Shatner plans to include on a new spoken-word album. The duo reportedly became friends when Shatner made a cameo in the "Celebrity" video, and Shatner asked Paisley to write a song and sing on his album.

No release date has been announced for Shatner's album, which is being produced by alt-rocker Ben Folds.
