Barenaked Ladies uncover additional 2004 tour dates
Canadian pop-rockers Barenaked Ladies have added a new batch of dates to their 2004 itinerary, including several dates in their home country.
The group is supporting its latest album, "Everything to Everyone," its first release since 2000's "Maroon." The new set hit stores in late October, and features the single "Another Postcard."
Barenaked Ladies toured small venues late last year, playing shows that featured music, band banter and Q&A sessions with audiences. In 2004, the group returns to the arena circuit.
The Toronto-based outfit was founded in 1988 by singer-guitarists Steven Page and Ed Robertson, and has sold more than 10 million records worldwide, according to their publicist.
After spending nearly four years on the road in the wake of the success of their breakthrough single "One Week" and follow-up album "Maroon," the members of Barenaked Ladies took an eight-month break before starting work on "Everything to Everyone."
"We've said for years that we've needed more time for writing," Robertson said in a statement. "So we didn't have a hard deadline this time. It was about giving ourselves, and our audience, a break."
