Briefly: Bob Dylan, Oasis, String Cheese Incident, Lil Jon, Dilated Peoples
A two-disc Bob Dylan set dubbed "Live 1964: Concert at Philharmonic Hall--The Bootleg Series Volume 6" is set for release by Columbia/Legacy on March 23.
The album's 19 tracks were recorded during an Oct. 31, 1964 solo-acoustic performance by Dylan, during which he played "Mr. Tambourine Man," "Gates of Eden" and "It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)," songs that would appear on his 1965 album "Another Side of Bob Dylan."
Oasis has shown drummer Alan White the door.
"Alan White has been asked to leave Oasis by the other band members," said a statement posted on the band's website. "There are no plans to replace Alan. The band's scheduled recording sessions remain unaffected."
The String Cheese Incident embarks on its first headlining tour of Europe in March. Details are available on the band's official website.
Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz plan to head to the studio next week to begin work on a new album titled "Crunk Juice," which is expected to hit stores in September.
Hip-hop collective Dilated Peoples will issue their third album--and first since 2001's "Expansion Team"--on March 23. The new set is titled "Neighborhood Watch."
