Dream Theater awakens for North American tour
Prog-rock outfit Dream Theater backs its latest album, "Train of Thought," with a North American run that won't feature an opening act.
The outing kicks off in early March, and follows the group's in-progress tour of Europe.
Instead of a show opener, fans can plan on seeing Dream Theater play two full sets separated by an intermission.
Released in November, "Train of Thought" includes the cut "As I Am," which is available as a free mp3-download from the group's website. Band founders John Petrucci and Mike Portnoy produced the set.
Dream Theater broke into the mainstream with its 1992 hit "Pull Me Under." Last March, the group headed into the studio to record "Train of Thought," the follow-up to 2002's "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence."
