Briefly: The Strokes, Scott Weiland, Bob Seger, John Frusciante, Montgomery Gentry

The Strokes will play a Feb. 5 benefit show at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA, to benefit VH1's Save the Music program.

The group has embarked on a tour that will visit Hawaii, New Zealand and Australia. A North American outing is expected to launch in March.

Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland , who last year walked out of a court-ordered stay at a live-in drug detoxification after a month at the facility, has been ordered by a judge to return.

Weiland--who entered the facility last October after a heroin-possession arrest--reportedly had checked himself back into center by Friday (1/23), and he will be eligible for release in July.

Bob Seger will field questions from fans in a simultaneous syndicated radio special and online chat on Feb. 2 at 9:30 p.m. ET. According to Capitol Records, the special will be Seger's first one-on-one with radio listeners in more than 10 years, and his first-ever online chat.

The interview will air on Premiere Radio Networks, and is in support of Seger's new album, "Bob Seger: Greatest Hits 2 and More."

John Frusciante of Red Hot Chili Peppers releases his fourth solo album, "Shadows Collide with People," on Feb. 24. Three songs from the album are streaming at Frusciante's website.

"If You Ever Stop Loving Me," the first single from Montgomery Gentry 's forthcoming album, hits radio next week, according to Columbia Records. The album, "You Do Your Thing," is due in stores May 18.
