Aerosmith confirms tour venues, release date for new album
The outing will begin at the United Spirit Arena in Lubbock, TX, on March 11, and venues for about half of the itinerary--which runs into late June--were confirmed at press time. Details are shown below.
Also confirmed is the release date for Aerosmith's new album, "Honkin' on Bobo," which will arrive in stores on March 30. The group's official fan-club website describes the set as "the band's return to its roots" and "a hard driving gritty collection of tracks unmistakably Aerosmith, and brim with interpreted covers of blues greats such as Muddy Waters, Fisher/Hopkins and Blind Willie McTell.
Joining Aerosmith on the upcoming road trip are fellow rock vets Cheap Trick , whose most-recent release is last July's "Special One." The album is the group's first new studio set since 1997.
