Tantric takes to the road behind 'After We Go'

Tantric 's sophomore album is due in stores on Feb. 24, and the Louisville, KY-based rockers are set to back it with a club tour that launches the following day.

The new CD, titled "After We Go," was recorded in Nashville with producer Toby Wright (Korn, Alice In Chains), and is the follow-up to Tantric's self-titled, 2001 debut.

Among the 12 new tracks on "After We Go" is a cover of Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain." The album's first single, "Hey Now," is streaming at Maverick Records' Tantric website, as is its companion music video.

Tantric members Todd Whitener (guitar), Jesse Vest (bass) and Matt Taul (drums) originally comprised three-quarters of rock act Days of the New , which is fronted by singer Travis Meeks. Whitener, Vest and Taul split with Meeks in 1998, and went on to form Tantric with frontman Hugo Ferreira.

The band first broke through with the hit single "Breakdown," which topped Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart.
